Bruce Lee started his martial arts training in Taiji with his father and in Wing Chun under grandmaster Yip Man in Hong Kong. He took what he felt were the best and most practical aspects of Wing Chun and combining these with elements of western boxing, fencing, Filipino Kali, Thai boxing and French Savate ; He also did researches on other martial arts such as : Tae Kwon Do, Silat, wrestling, judo and ju jutsu. This developed into a complete and fluid system that he named Jeet Kune Do (JKD), the “Way of the Intercepting Fist”. Not only was Bruce Lee a genius martial artist, he was also a philosopher in search of the true expression and development of the Human Being.

Guro Fred Started training in Jun Fan Kung Fu and in JKD with Punong Guro Jeff Espinous, but also had the privilege to train under Guro Bob Breen and one of Bruce Lee’s very student, Sifu Richard Bustillo.
